Where to Buy CBD And How To Give It

Posted on June 21, 2019

Real CBD Oil is actually hard to find.

75% of the CBD you see out there contains no CBD at all. It’s just hemp oil, or hemp seed oil.

You cannot buy CBD on Amazon.com. That is Hemp Oil and is rich in omega fatty acids and terpenoids which are beneficial, but do not provide results that actual CBD does.

The only CBD oil that actually HAS CBD in it, literally says “CBD” listed in milligrams on the label. That said, it’s still possible that you can STILL be rooked.

So I did some research. (My goodness did I do some research!) And I found a listing of the FIVE top CBD products separated by price, consumer experience, diversity. quality and potency.

I decided to try the most economical product. So I found my way HERE.

When you get their 750mg tincture ($59), for people, it is SUPER economical in pets.

  • 25mg USA Grade-A premium CBD (Cannabidiol) per serving
  • Broad-spectrum cannabinoid extract containing CBG, CBDV, etc.
  • Other beneficial molecules, essential oils, terpenes, and amino acids

For dogs over 40 pounds there’s a higher strength ($149) that costs 2.5x as much but it’s for FOUR TIMES the amount of medicine – the economy in large dogs is unparalleled.

  • 100mg USA Grade-A premium CBD (Cannabidiol) per serving

CBD really helped my 5 year old anxious cat. We moved recently and the change was not a good thing according to him. We started by putting it in his food which gave minimal relief. When we started administering orally it really made a difference. He’s way more calm and enjoying his new home. Highly recommend.

DOSING

Since a pet needs 1/4 milligram of active CBD per pound – a ten pound pet would need 2.5 milligrams twice a day. That’s 0.1 ml by mouth twice a day. There’s 30 ml in a bottle. So you can see that will last like 150 days.

Dosing the 750mg CBD

Something to note: When you go over 40 lbs, the economy of this bottle gets “not as good” in fact for an 80 pound dog, you’ll only get enough for 15 days.

Dosing the 3000mg CBD

So the higher strength brings up better economy. (Click image below to find this CBD)

Dosing CBD In Pets

The dose of CBD (a starting point with considerable leighway on either end) is 1/4mg/lb (.25mg/lb) by mouth (in the cheek or under the tongue) twice a day x 6 weeks then 1x daily for the long term. Simply, divide the dog’s weight (in pounds) by four, and you’ve got the milligrams of CBD to give twice a day.

“Cheek dosing” is 30-40% more effective than “in food” dosing. And you needn’t pry the mouth open. See image at left.
